Upon graduation, Elisha worked various part time jobs while also being Chaplain at Roosevelt Mission in Linton Indiana. During his five years there, he spoke at various churches on behalf of the mission and managed many of the day-to-day operations. During this time Elisha met Talia Thomerson and they were married. During a time of reflection in consultation with church mentors, Elisha and Talia pursued and accepted a Pastorate at Lewiston Assembly of God. In keeping with the denominational requirements, Elisha obtained certification with the Assemblies of God. They ministered there for one and a half years making in-roads into the community. The couple left after Pastor Sikorski asked Elisha to serve as an associate pastor with River of Life International in Monmouth Illinois. Elisha’s commitment to River of Life was for one year to help reestablish himself and plan for the next steps of ministry. During that one year, Elisha and Talia’s marriage suffered, compounded by issues going on in the Monmouth church. After the year, Elisha resigned from River of Life and voluntarily gave back his credentials. God met this sorrow with joy as Talia became pregnant with their daughter Inara. Elisha, wanting to have formal education went back to college and graduated from Monmouth College in 2014 with a BA in Political Science with a minor in Journalism. Elisha worked in the political sphere for several years culminating in his election as City of Galesburg Treasurer. During these years, Elisha has continued to look for God and has spoken in churches in Illinois and Indiana. Elisha and Talia are members of New Harvest Church in Abingdon Illinois. Talia is the director of the Children’s ministry there. They just welcomed another blessing from God into their home when their son Calvin was born in January. Elisha’s heart for ministry is to present a healthy, alive, and spotless Church to the Lord Jesus Christ.
