What We Believe
We believe that God demonstrated his love for us by sending His Son, Jesus Christ to pay the full penalty for our sin and brokenness. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word for us and that it guides us in our faith and life.
Statement of Faith
- The one and living God, externally existent in three persons in unity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The divine inspiration and authority of Holy Scripture.
- The original perfection of creation, the inherent corruptness of man through the Fall; the necessity of repentance and regeneration by grace and through faith alone, and the eternal separation from God of the finally unrepentant.
- The virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, triumphant resurrection, ascension and abiding intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ. His second coming and millennial reign upon earth.
- Justification and sanctification of the believer through the finished work of Christ, and the resurrection of the believer in an incorruptible body.
- The ordinances of baptism by immersion and of the Lord’s Supper.
- The security of the believer as he abides in Christ.
- The Baptism of the Holy Spirit for believers with signs following.
- The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit for the edification, exhortation and comfort of the Church, which is the Body of Christ.
- The functions of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, elders and deacons for equipping, governing and ministry to the Church.
- The privilege and responsibility of bringing tithes and offerings to the Lord.
Our 5 Core Values
1. A changed life – By his we mean the Christ like life, the fruit of the Spirit, humility, integrity honesty and Christian maturity.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.”
II Corinthians 5:172. The Manifest Presence of God – This is that tangible sense of God’s powerful presence among us revealing His truth and love to us in the by the Holy Spirit. It is that sense that “God is in this place.”
“But if an unbeliever or someone who does not understand comes in while everybody is prophesying,
he will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be judged by all, and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare. So he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!” I Corinthians 14:24-253. Authentic Community – This deals with our priority to build the church on relationships through unity, commitment and accountability. It is everyone doing their part as a team.
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering
God’s grace in its various forms.” I Peter 4:104. Outreach – Evangelism sharing the Good News of the Gospel with others. It is vital to our purpose for existing as a church and must take place in our backyards as well as around the world.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:85. The Eternal Purposes of God – We must grasp God’s “Big Picture” in the unfolding of His plans and purposes on earth. We value being current with what the Lord is doing in His Church today. This gives us clarity, relevance and perspective as God continues to add to and mature His Body.
“… until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,
attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:13
